The Didi foundation is an organization dedicated to women and children in developmental countries. This foundation sets out to help women in developmental countries to achieve a better and lasting position within society. At this moment we are devoted to helping Nepalese women who find themselves in difficult positions within the Nepalese society. In cooperation with the Nepalese organization Ideal Women Development Centre we give women who were the victim of trafficking or domestic violence and divorced women new opportunities with the ‘Women’s Empowerment Nepal’ project. Because these women are not accepted in the Nepalese society they need a bit of help to enable them to support themselves. In specific terms we will rent a house where 15 women will live for 1.5 years and where they will take courses to learn practical skills. With these skills they will be able to make their own living after this period. To make this possible, Stichting Didi organizes various activities to raise money.
